Biography

Coming from an incredibly successful karting career, which included multiple WSK and World titles, De Vries debuted in single-seaters in 2012. In 2014, he won both the Eurocup and ALPS Formula Renault Championship. The following year, he was third in Formula Renault 3.5 and later moved to GP3 and FIA Formula 2. He joined PREMA for his second F2 season, ending up fourth, and he went on to take the title in 2019. In 2020, he made the move to Endurance and, more importantly, in Formula E, where he claimed the series' opening edition as a full-fledged World Championship in the series. In 2021, he was named test driver for the Mercedes-AMG F1 Petronas F1 team.
