Charles Leclerc

Biography

Coming from a racing family (his father Hervé raced in Formula 3 in the 80s) Leclerc started competing in karting in 2005. His accomplishments include winning the French Championship, the Monaco Kart Cup, the KF3 FIA World Cup, the KF2 WSK Euro Series in addition to countless events. He moved to car racing in 2014, taking two wins and a runner-up position in the Formula Renault ALPS championship in his rookie year. In 2015, he moved to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, finishing fourth overall and the best rookie.   In 2016, he claimed the GP3 Series as a rookie, and joining PREMA for the inaugural FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2018, he delivered once again. That year, he scored eight poles, six of which consecutive, and seven wins, clinching the title with one event to go He was promoted to Formula 1 in 2018 and brought home multiple points finishes for Alfa Romeo. In 2019 he joined Scuderia Ferrari, posting his first wins at Spa-Francorchamps and Monza.
