PREMA is proud to announce that Andrea Kimi Antonelli will stay with the team for the full 2022 season. After making his competitive debut under the PREMA banner this season, the highly-promising 15-year-old Italian will stay committed to the Italian operation for his first complete season in single-seaters.

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Junior Driver performed impressively in the final three events of the 2021 Italian Formula 4 Championship, securing three overall podium finishes and four rookie wins. In 2022, Antonelli will enter the full Italian Formula 4 Championship as his main program with selected support events to be announced at a later date.

Born in Bologna, Antonelli is one of the most widely-recognized and successful kart racers of his time. The young driver has a rich collection of honors which include - but it's not limited to - the WSK Champions Cup and the ROK Cup in the Mini class, the WSK Open Cup, Euro Series, Final Cup, and Super Master Series in OKJ, the WSK Euro Series and FIA European Championship in OK.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"We are delighted to continue working with Kimi for 2022. Judging from what we have seen so far, his potential is remarkable, and we cannot wait to see what he will be able to achieve from now on. Preparations will be paramount, so we are fully focused on supporting Kimi as he further hones and refines his impressive skills."
