Beganovic scores podium finish for PREMA in Barcelona Feature Race
PREMA Racing achieved three solid results in the FIA Formula 3 Championship Feature Race today at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Starting from the second row of the grid, Ferrari Driver Academy Swede Dino Beganovic achieved his third Feature Race podium of the year by making an early move and holding onto the third position throughout the whole distance. Beganovic is now standing third in the driver classification.
Paul Aron delivered another top-5 finish, replicating the results of Race 1. The Estonian had a clean race and brought points to his cause by maximising his results and staying trouble-free throughout the weekend.
Zak O'Sullivan completed a fine recovery, starting from P12 to finish in the points, which perfectly complemented yesterday's Sprint Race win. The British driver wrapped up a solid-scoring weekend for him and the team.
With the points achieved in Barcelona, PREMA Racing jumped to the top of the Team Championship standings.
#1 PAUL ARON
"We finished fifth, and it looks like it's a P5 weekend as we have been always in the same position in every session. I feel a little disappointed, but I shouldn't be because we had a strong race, me and the team, improving everything that we wanted to improve. It was one of the most positive races of the year. The pace was generally much better than yesterday, and we had good safety car re-starts as well. I think we did a good job, and P5 was the maximum today. Solid points for the weekend, hopefully we can now make another step in Red Bull Ring and fight for those top positions."
#2 DINO BEGANOVIC
"P3 in the feature race in Barcelona, I'm very happy with the result after the bad luck yesterday. It was great to be on the podium again. The team did a terrific job to come from P2 in Monaco to P3 in Barcelona. Having three Feature Race podiums is really nice, and this is a positive result to look back to heading into the upcoming break."
#3 ZAK O'SULLIVAN
"We finished P8 starting from P12. I had a good lap 1, and I managed to gain two or three positions, and from then it was a bit tricky with the DRS train. The pace was strong and I managed to gain another position towards the end of the race. We just need to start a bit higher next time. Overall, we had a good recovery after a tricky qualifying with the Sprint Race win and picking up some points in the Feature."
