PREMA Racing ends tough qualifying with P9, P17
It was a tough qualifying session for PREMA Racing at Yas Marina as the team lined up for the final time this year in Abu Dhabi. Both the team’s cars finished outside the top-8.
Frederik Vesti will take off from the 9th in the Feature Race, while he will benefit from the reverse top-10 grid in tomorrow’s Sprint Race to start second. The Danish racer had the potential to secure a spot on the front two rows although an error forced him to content with the fifth.
On the other hand, Ollie Bearman could not find the confidence he needed at his first F2 outing in Abu Dhabi. The British racer ended up in P17.

“The potential was probably top three, had I maximized the session, but I finished in P9 as I had a big lock-up in my fastest lap. Overall, I’m not very happy with that. However, we still start P2 tomorrow, and we can fight for great points on Sunday. I’m very very motivated and I will give my absolute everything for the championship.”
