PREMA kicks off second half of 2024 FIA F2 season at Silverstone
PREMA Racing will be wrapping up the FIA Formula 2 Championship tripleheader today at Silverstone. Lining up at the spectacular 5.9-kilometer British venue, the team will continue working to build on the promise of Red Bull Ring, where it scored its first 2024 win despite facing some external factors in the Feature Race.
The team got one win last year at Silverstone, and will be fielding the home favourite Ollie Bearman. The 19-year-old from Chelmsford, who delivered the team's first win of 2024, is aiming to stay consistently at the front since early in the weekend.
On the other hand, Kimi Antonelli will be making his first start at the British Grand Prix circuit with the aim to catch up to the more experienced competitors quickly.
With a lot of high-speed corners, Silverstone is considered a high-degradation track for tyres. Series supplier Pirelli will bring the P-Zero White Hard as the Prime choice and the Red Soft as the Option.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"We had some promising signs at Red Bull Ring, including our first win of the season, and we hope to continue on that path despite the challenges we encountered there. I think we will have good potential at Silverstone, but we all need to execute from the beginning."
