Mexican racer set for second F3 season
PREMA Racing announces that Mexican racer Noel León will be joining the team for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship.
The 19-year-old Monterrey native started his single-seater career in Mexico in 2019, entering and winning the 2019–20 NACAM Formula 4 Championship. In 2021, he progressed to the F4 USA Championship, winning the drivers' title at the end of an incredibly consistent run.
In the same year, he also went stock-car racing, winning the NASCAR Challenge Series - Mexico and made selected starts in the GTM Gran Turismo Mexico championship.
For 2022, he moved to Europe to enter the Formula Regional European Championship, before stepping up to Euroformula Open and capturing seven race wins en route to the 2023 title. Last year, he eventually joined the FIA Formula 3 Championship, securing four podiums in his rookie year.
León is now becoming part of the PREMA family for the start of his sophomore season in the series, based on the foundations of his valuable experience and positive feedback from his testing debut with the team at Jerez de la Frontera.
René Rosin - Team Principal
“Noel put up some impressive showings this year, and we are happy to welcome him for the season. He has valuable experience in the series and great room for further improvement. Having already worked together in the Jerez test, we think he will be a good fit within our team, and we look forward to continuing the work.”
