PREMA set for thrilling Formula 2 finale at Yas Marina
PREMA Racing will be signing off the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this weekend. The team is looking to finish the year on a high as it will say goodbye to both its drivers, both bound for Formula 1 drives next year.
The team secured its fifth win of the season last weekend in Qatar, and the goal is to build on that result. Qualifying high up the field will be essential to continue a positive run on a track that provided good satisfaction in the past.
With no other immediate goal than performing on race week, Ollie Bearman is aiming to capitalize on the brilliant pace of Lusail, while for Kimi Antonelli, the 5.3-kilometer venue is offering a chance for a rebound after he was taken out of contention last time around.
The tyre choice will be on the softer side for the event, maximizing the need for management from the drivers and teams. Series supplier Pirelli will bring the P-Zero Yellow Medium as the Prime compound, while the P-Zero Purple Supersoft will be the option.

"We are really motivated to achieve a positive result in the final round of the season as it was a challenging championship at times for us. We showed great pace in Qatar but we need to maximize it in qualifying as it is very critical to start up front for both managing the race and staying out of trouble.
