Mumbai Falcons achieved two high-profile results in the final rounds of the main pre-season Middle Eastern series, the Formula 4 Middle East Championship and the Formula Regional Middle East Championship.
PREMA collaborated with the Indian operation to field cars in both series and eventually delivered another top result in their long-standing history, claiming Formula Regional’s Team Title. In addition, the Mumbai Falcons drivers delivered the Rookie titles in both championships.
In the Formula 4 competition, the team achieved two outright wins with Japanese-Slovakian Kean Nakamura-Berta and Latvian Tomass Stolcermanis. The two finished third and fourth respectively in the overall classification, while PREMA's own Sebastian Wheldon took one podium and P7 in the end.
A narrow battle for the Rookie title involved Colombian Salim Hanna, driving for Mumbai Falcons, and Chinese racer Zhenrui Chi. The in-family battle saw Hanna post eight class wins, while Chi claimed four, coming six points short in a last-event showdown at Lusail International Circuit. Also driving under the PREMA banner, Oleksandr Bondarev completed the rookie top-3. Making his series debut, Arjun Chheda confirmed the team's tradition of promoting young, promising Indian drivers. He put up a solid run with three points finishes to his credit.
On the other hand, Nakamura Berta and Stolcermanis handed the team second place in the Team Championship.
In the Formula Regional series, the Mumbai Falcons banner was headlined by British ace Freddie Slater, who took four wins overall and stayed in contention until round 5. Slater also achieved four pole positions, but could not reach the podium in Qatar. He still finished as the top rookie with a sizeable margin on teammate Rashid Al Dhaheri.
The Emirati racer scored three class wins and three overall podiums, showing a positive pace, especially in qualifying conditions. Jack Beeton, on the other hand, won the final race of the year after facing tough luck earlier in the season. Reza Seewooruthun and Doriane Pin shared the team's fourth car. The British driver, in particular, secured six points finishes highlighting a remarkable potential.
Rene Rosin - Team Principal
"We are delighted to see our collaboration with Mumbai Falcons continuing to bring such impressive results. Securing the teams' and rookies' title with Freddie Slater in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship was a remarkable accomplishment. In Formula 4 we couldn't secure the same result but we are delighted to have seen our rookies impress both in the PREMA and Mumbai Falcon camps. As we wrap up the trip to the Middle Eastern, we are already looking to start of the European season."
