It was a difficult opening race for PREMA Racing in FIA Formula 3 at the Monaco Grand Prix. Starting from P7 on the top-12 reverse grid, Mexican racer Noel León was involved in a lap 1 contact and suffered from slight barrier damage, having to retire. He will be back starting from P5 in tomorrow's Feature Race.
Ugo Ugochukwu and Brando Badoer could not advance much from their starting positions on the tight & twisty Monegasque track and had mostly uneventful races. The American crossed the finish line in P13, while the Italian gained a few spots en-route to P22.

#1 - Brando Badoer
"I had a good start and made up a couple of places. Then I was careful in the first couple of laps because it was important for me to drive and feel the car. The goal was accomplished as I managed to get a good space, gaining confidence with the car and track to fine-tune everything. Not a lot we could have done differently as Monaco races are very particular. We know which direction we need to go to improve. We keep pushing and trying to get the best out of the car for the coming races."
#2 - Noel León
"Very difficult race. We had a good start, but I got stuck during the opening lap, and after that, another driver pushed me into the wall. I had no space to go and that caused some damage. A race to forget because we were in a position to score some good points. Tomorrow is a new day, we start from P5 and we will go for it."
#3 - Ugo Ugochukwu
We had a decent start and got a few positions, but then struggled a little bit mid-race with the tyres and fell back one spot. Hard to do much in Monaco without much place for racing, but we'll see what we can improve for the Feature Race tomorrow."
