PREMA becomes first junior single-seater team to achieve FIA Two-Star Environmental Accreditation

Valuable accomplishment underlines team's sustainability efforts

PREMA Racing is proud to announce that the team has achieved FIA Two-Star Environmental Accreditation. The FIA’s globally recognised framework is designed to help motorsport and mobility organizations improve their environmental performance. As PREMA Racing continues to be one of the world's longest running and most successful motorsport organizations, this achievement underlines the team’s legacy of high performance both on and off track and commitment to nurturing talent for the future.

The FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme is based on a hands-on approach that starts with accurate monitoring across 17 areas related to environmental impacts such as carbon emissions, water usage, waste, and biodiversity. Since 2024, PREMA Racing has implemented solid environmental management practices and is making tangible progress towards reducing its environmental footprint. Additionally, an internal training program was established to keep team members aware and informed on the fundamental aspects, the actions to take, and the progress made. These trainings will soon be extended to partners and beyond to ensure that PREMA is bringing all engaged stakeholders along on its sustainability journey.

Earning the FIA Two-Star Environmental Accreditation status signifies that PREMA Racing is making tangible progress towards measuring and reducing its environmental footprint — setting a new benchmark for sustainability within the junior single-seater movement.

PREMA Racing partnered with Enovation Consulting, a B-Corp certified sustainability and sports consultancy to support the team’s sustainability progress. These two innovative organisations will be working together moving forward to design environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives that push the boundaries on what’s possible in the junior formulas, including a STEM and sustainability-focused activation for local students ahead of the British Grand Prix 2025. PREMA and Enovation will continue working together to make even more progress toward environmental and social sustainability in 2025 and beyond.

PREMA is committed to nurturing future talent in all areas, providing a range of internship and career development programs and events targeted at raising awareness and STEM and sustainability career interests. The team consists of members from 22 different nationalities and has taken active steps to make diversity and inclusion one of its main pillars.

As success in motorsport is built on collaboration, the sustainability goals at PREMA are seen as a key component of the team's success. By building on history of innovation, everyone at PREMA is looking forward doing their part to contribute to a more conscious and impactful motorsport.
