PREMA seeks increased momentum at Spa-Francorchamps

R08 Spa-Francorchamps - FIA Formula 3 Race Preview

Fast corners, unpredictable weather, and tricky battles, especially on the run from Radillon to Les Combes, will be on the weekend's menu at Spa-Francorchamps as the FIA Formula 3 Championship gets underway for round 8 of 2025. In one of the series' most awaited events, and arguably one of the most challenging, PREMA Racing is looking to continue the progress made after a tough season start, which led to the team's first podium of the year in Silverstone.

On a track where the team achieved a 1-2 finish last year, the goal is to continue finalizing the preparation efforts put in place up to this point. Coming from a solid run of points finishes, Ugo Ugochukwu is looking to continue his form and keep moving forward, while Noel Leon is eyeing race day consistency to go with his speed. On the other hand, Brando Badoer is looking forward to turning his potential into points finishes after often putting up good pace but being unable to capitalize on it.

While having to tame the variables starting from weather situations, the team is thus looking to make more steps forward in terms of the general picture.

Regarding the tyre choice for the weekend, to tame the venue's new surface, laid down in 2024, series supplier Pirelli will bring the P-Zero Medium tyres for the event.

Rene Rosin - Team Principal

"We are proud of the steps we have made after a tough start, but there's still a lot of work to do to get back to where we want to be. Ugo has gotten consistently into the top-10 and Noel achieved our first podium of the year in Silverstone: we need to keep that progress steady, and hope that Brando will soon be able to capitalize on the potential he has shown by delivering his first points finishes."
