Ugochukwu hands PREMA second 2025 podium at Spa

R08 Spa-Francorchamps - FIA Formula 3 Race 1 Report

Driving the PREMA Racing #3 car, Ugo Ugochukwu secured a brilliant second place in the opening race of the Spa-Francorchamps FIA Formula 3 weekend. The American had an extremely strong pace after starting from the seventh spot on the grid. He progressively improved his position with good overtaking and stayed strong throughout the 12-lap long race.

Brando Badoer also made remarkable progress, starting from the 14th spot, and gained his first points finish of the year in P9 in an extremely solid run, confirming yesterday's good potential.

Coming from a tough qualifying session, Noel Leon fought back to P15 from P27 on the grid. The Mexican also put up an impressive pace and is now looking forward to making even more improvements in the Feature Race tomorrow.

"Sprint Race done in Spa, and a positive result. P9, and a good comeback after a difficult first lap. The pace was good, and the car felt fine. We'll keep working in this direction and pushing for the next races."

"Quite a positive race. We made a lot of places, and the pace was promising. To be honest, we were quite strong. Happy with the race, we did what we could do. Let's go back tomorrow with the weather making a little more opportunities to overtake and go for it."

"The pace was really good starting from P7, and I managed to overtake the guys ahead one by one to finish P2. I'm really happy to get the podium, and we'll go for another good result again tomorrow."
