Gabriele Minì delivered a hard-fought podium finish in the final race of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship season. Starting from P13, the Italian quickly stormed through the field, making the most of the softer option tyres.
Coming off the pits fourth in the pack, using the strategy that turned out to be the winning one, he had a swift safety-car restart and started chasing the leading pack. He stayed in contention for the top-3 until the finish, when a penalty eventually promoted him to P3, which marked his return to the podium in a brilliant final run for him this year.
Sebastian Montoya was forced to retire for a technical issue after starting from fifth place and doing a good early job in keeping the pace on the opposite strategy with prime tyres.
With today's results, PREMA Racing was able to fight back to sixth place in the team's classification.

“Difficult race today. Yesterday we showed great race pace and made many overtakes, so we thought we could have a good chance. I just made a small mistake, and the next thing I knew, I made a full 360, and the engine stalled. We need to refocus, understand what happened and keep working for the test and for next year. I think it has been a really strong season. I thank the team for the hard work and for the improvements made throughout the year. I'm looking forward to coming back in 2026 stronger and faster, and with one year of experience, it'll be quite fun. On to 2026!”
#10 - GABRIELE MINÌ
"We had a very, very good first lap as I gained seven positions, and I couldn't really have done much more. I also managed to save my tyres a lot in the beginning and then push towards the end. It wasn't easy, but we managed to grab the podium after finishing P4 on track. I'm grateful for it, and I'm happy to end the year on a good note after a difficult season. I want to thank the team, because it has been a great and fun season with them, even if we didn't get the results we wanted."
