Raffaele "Lello" Marciello is one of the most highly-regarded GT racers in international competition. The Swiss-born Italian started his competitive karting career in 2005 and quickly rose through the rank, scoring high-profile results in international competition. In 2009, he posted fourth place in both the WSK International Series and in the CIK-FIA European Championship. His car racing debut came in 2019, and he ended up third in Formula Abarth. In 2011, he joined PREMA in Italian F3, finishing third. The following year, he stepped up to the European F3 championship, clinching second place. One year later, he claimed the championship with 13 wins and 12 poles. A three year-spell in the GP2 Series with one win saw him get a test driver role for Sauber, but his next move was to GT racing in 2017. He always raced as a Mercedes-Benz factory driver. In 2018, he won the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup and overall titles and secured the 2019 FIA GT World Cup at Macau, and he has an incredible record of top-5 series finishes. In 2021, he finished second in the GT World Challenge Endurance Championship and in the overall classification.
