Robert Shwartzman is considered one of the most gifted drivers in motorsports. The Russian started his career at the age of five. He moved to Italy to compete in karting professionally, achieving considerable success. He also spent his school years in Italy and is fluent in Italian. He graduated to single-seaters in 2014, moving to Formula 4 and Formula Renault. He joined PREMA for F3 in 2018, as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, winning the Formula 3 European Championship rookie championship and taking the Toyota Racing Series title. In 2019, he won the overall FIA Formula 3 championship. In the following years, he claimed several wins in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, finishing as a runner-up in 2021. He was appointed as a test driver by Ferrari.
