Biography

Gasly started his motorsport journey at six in France and began racing competitively in 2006. His karting career was highlighted by the runner-up spot in the CIK-FIA European Championship. He moved to Formula 4 in 2011, ending up third in the French Championship, and then won the Formula Renault Eurocup title two years later, joining the Red Bull Junior Team in the process. He went on to a runner-up spot in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship, and after his debut GP2 season in 2015, he joined PREMA Racing for 2016, winning the driver title with four wins and five poles to his name. In the following year, he came second in Super Formula in Japan and eventually debuted with Scuderia Toro Rosso. Ending a short spell at Red Bull, he rejoined Toro Rosso, which became Scuderia AlphaTauri, achieving outstanding results and eventually claiming his maiden victory in 2020 at Monza.
