Japanese-Slovakian racer moves up from PREMA karting team
PREMA Racing announces that Kean Nakamura Berta will make the step to single-seaters in 2024 and will contest his rookie campaign with the team in the Italian Formula 4 and Euro4 Championships.
The 16-year-old Japanese-Slovakian driver had an impressive karting career, capturing consistently high results throughout the years, as highlighted by becoming the 2021 FIA Karting World Championship – OK champion, and winning the 2022 FIA Karting European Championship - OK title. Having performed brilliantly in the early testing opportunities, with Nakamura-Berta the team is delighted to add another relevant talent to its portfolio, as it prepares for the start of the 2024 Formula 4 season.

We look forward to the challenge of making the team progress, and we are proud to welcome the Alpine Academy on board of our F4 operation as we begin our work with Kean. It is going to be an interesting season, but I think it will be a rewarding one."

"I am really excited to join PREMA for Formula 4. Having represented their colours in Karting last year, it feels fitting to continue the journey into the first steps of single seaters with them. Seeing their achievements until now, I have high hopes for the season to come and I can't wait to get started!"
