FIA Formula 3 is heading back to the racetrack this weekend, with the series coming to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for round 5 of 2025. Already hitting the half point of the season, the series lines up on one of the most popular tracks for junior single-seater, largely used in testing and by junior categories. That makes for some spectacular races, as most drivers and teams have extensive running in the bag and, with a challenging layout, competition is expected to be tight.
Coming from a positive qualifying run at Monte Carlo, Noel León is looking for more luck after being put out of contention by a double DNF, while Ugo Ugochuwu and Brando Badoer are aiming to make moves towards the front after challenging qualifying sessions were followed by promising races in Monaco.
As PREMA keeps the goal of bouncing back to form and finding some much-needed momentum, tyre management will again be an extra element for the weekend, moving from the least demanding track on the calendar to one of the most abrasive. Due to the heavy demands, Pirelli will hand the team its most durable choice, the P Zero white Hard tyres.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"As we prepare to line up in Barcelona, we continue to work to make some steps after a challenging season start. We had some good potential at Monte Carlo and even when things didn't go according to plan and we couldn't show it, we used the experience to gain knowledge and mileage. Coming to a track we know well will be adding motivation, although we know that the pack is always close there and chances need to be secured quickly."
