PREMA Racing faces more challenges in Barcelona qualifying

R05 Barcelona - FIA Formula 3 Qualifying Report

PREMA Racing faced more challenges in Barcelona. Lining up for FIA F3 qualifying, the team ha a tough time finding the needed pace to secure a spot in the front few rows.

In an extremely tight session, featuring a top-10 covered by less than half a second, Noel León posted the 13th fastest lap, a few thousands away from the top-12.

Brando Badoer and Ugo Ugochukwu ended up outside the top-20. With work to be done ahead of the races, the drivers are set for a tricky run aiming to make major comebacks.

#1  BRANDO BADOER

"Qualy done in Barcelona, a tough session overall for the team, we tried to maximize what we had. The first two sets were fine. I was in a good lap with the third until turn 10 where I made a mistake. We suffered with the tyre drop towards the end of the run and with such a tight classification the end result was not what we wanted. We will work hard to try and solve the situation for the next events.”

#2  NOEL LEON

“Not the qualy that we wanted, super close to reverse grid pole. Let’s keep working, we will try to do our best to finish in the points in the races.”

#3  UGO UGOCHUKWU

“A tricky session overall, we struggled a lot for pace on the three laps. We need to see what’s the issue for the races. We just had no pace.”
