PREMA completes Barcelona weekend with tough Feature Race

R05 Barcelona - FIA Formula 3 Race 2 Report

The FIA Formula 3 weekend at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya ended up with another tough run for PREMA Racing as the team's three drivers ended up far away from the points.

Noel Leon started from P14, but progressively lost ground as tyre degradation kicked in, ending up in P18. On the other hand, Ugochukwu had a challenging start which cost him positions straight away. With a fair share of attrition and two safety cars, he fought back to the top 20.

Brando Badoer was also navigating in the back end of the pack after starting from P22 but was crashed out of contention late in the race.

#1 - Brando Badoer
"Feature Race done in Barcelona. Tough race as we struggled a bit with pace, but I tried to maximize what I could before being taken out in the final stages. Nothing I could do about it."

#2 - Noel León
"Really difficult race. In the beginning, we were close to the points, but we struggled a bit overall in different aspects. After the safety car, I struggled a lot to keep it up and finished quite at the back. The positive thing is that we scored a point yesterday. Let's focus, reset, and go again for the next one."

#3 - Ugo Ugochukwu
"It has been a tough race. I lost a few positions at the start and I didn't have the pace as the others. A little bit of chaos in the middle and I managed to capitalize on that and make a few positions, but we're just not where we wanted to be. We need to see what we can improve and try to make progress for the next rounds."
