PREMA Racing is headed back to North America as the F1 Academy series will continue to be on the F1 support bill with round 4 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. It will be the first time the traditional F1 support series at the circuit will have unique features that are temporary but located on Notre Dame Island on the St.Lawrence River.
Coming from a great win in the last round of the series in Miami, PREMA's Doriane Pin continues to chase P1 in points. She currently has two wins and one more podium in five races. Tina Hausmann and Nina Gademan are in a positive form. The Swiss racer is P7 in points with a run of three points finish, while the Dutch driver has progressively inched towards the front and the top-5, which she achieved in Miami.
A tough venue, without much runoff space and with a tricky surface that is mostly unused during the year, Montreal will mark a valuable step in the drivers' growth path, so much so that there will be three races during the weekend, to make up for the cancelled Feature Race in Miami. Two races will be on Saturday, while Race 3 will cap off the weekend on Sunday.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"We are looking forward to competing for the first time on this legendary track. It has unique characteristics and it's very tricky for both the drivers and the teams alike. It's also very unforgiving and mistakes are very costly there, we have seen that so many times in Formula 1. Still, there are great learnings to be made and it's definitely worth the commitment and the dedication."
