The Austrian track of Spielberg will welcome the FIA Formula 3 Championship this weekend and PREMA is lining up at the venue with the goal of making progress and securing points in a so far challenging campaign.
Having ended the Spanish trip with a solitary point despite promising runs in practice, the team relies on its trio of Brando Badoer, Noel León, and Ugo Ugochukwu to make a step forward. León returns to the Austrian Grand Prix after his 2024 debut, while Badoer and Ugochukwu raced there in F4 and Formula Regional, with the latter having made his first career start with PREMA there in 2022. On the other hand, the team has a successful history at the track with multiple wins throughout the years.
As always, lap times at the short Red Bull Ring venue will be extremely close, with the team having considerable experience there too. Weather is expected to be unusually warm considering the location, perched in the Styrian mountains. With a surface featuring relatively less abrasion than Barcelona, Pirelli will be bringing on-track three sets of Soft tyres as the choice for the weekend.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"We know this track very well, and we have plenty of experience here across all our programs, so we think we have a good foundation to start from and deliver a solid weekend. We are currently not in the position we were expecting to be in, and we are determined to keep working to find more confidence, pace, and momentum. We are looking to put in our maximum effort this weekend and see some progress."
