The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine resumes this weekend as the series is set for round 4 at the Hungaroring. Laying on the outskirts of Budapest, the twisty venue will provide competitors with a challenging environment. Temperatures are expected to be high, and on such a technical track, drivers will be called to put in their absolute maximum effort.
PREMA Racing is lining up at Hungaroring with Freddie Slater leading the drivers' championship. The British racer won twice this year and secured a P1 and a P3 in the most recent round at Zandvoort. While most of his competitors already raced at Hungaroring venue, he is looking to capitalize on his momentum.
Rashid Al Dhaheri, who was on the podium in the opening round of the series and has shown good speed so far, will have to maximize his performance, especially in the tricky group qualifying sessions where hundreds of a second can make a huge difference.
Jack Beeton didn't have the best luck in the last couple of rounds and is aiming for a rebound towards the overall top-5, while Doriane Pin is also striving to make progress and get close to the points zone.
Rene Rosin - Team Principal
"The one in Budapest will be a tricky weekend but we saw we have what it takes to tame it. We are looking to make steps across the board and also set ourselves up with a good baseline and momentum for the middle part of the season, which is usually a defining moment of the year."
