PREMA Racing had a positive run today at Spa-Francorchamps as Gabriele Minì delivered a brilliant third place in the FIA Formula 2 Championship Sprint Race at the Belgian Grand Prix.
The Italian had a consistent first part of the race and, unlike the majority of the competitors, elected not to pit for Option tyres as tyre management became a key aspect within the pack. The Alpine Academy driver merged great pace, consistency, and good overtaking to achieve his second podium of 2025.
Sebastian Montoya fought his way within the pack and finished in P15 as he tried to increase his chemistry with the car and track combo.
#9 - SEBASTIAN MONTOYA
"Difficult race. It's been a difficult week where we have been fighting some small issues. We just need to keep working, focus on ourselves and the things we can improve, and just keep learning. I'm really happy with the work we have been doing. Considering the results we had recently, this is not an easy weekend, but we have come back other times before. We just keep working."
#10 - GABRIELE MINI'
"It was P3 in the Sprint Race today. We got a really good start, then we did some nice overtakes, and I think the pace is quite strong. I just lost a bit of time passing one car at the beginning, and that compromised the tyres already. Overall, I think we can be quite satisfied with the results. We made the right choice in the end not to pit for options. We did a good job and deserved this one. We'll go again tomorrow."
