The 2025 season saw PREMA embark on a new chapter of its sustainability journey. The team achieved the FIA Two-Star Environmental Accreditation and ramped up its efforts in reducing its footprint and increasing its positive impact on the community. In addition to respecting the guidelines in terms of monitoring, waste and best practice, the PREMA team has embraced a concept of real progress.
During the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend, the team, with driver Noel Leon, visited the local Silverstone Primary School for a STEM support initiative. Helped by Leon, school kids built Lego cars controlled with iPads and - split in groups - challenged each other in heat races.
The PREMA personnel, together with drivers Jack Beeton and Sebastian Wheldon, spent a positive day hiking in the local mountains. The team visited the VAIA Lab in Pergine Valsugana and learned how the VAIA association works to reuse the wood of fallen trees during the disastrous Vaia storm of 2019. Wheldon and Beeton were guided into building a 100% wood-made sound amplifier. The group moved to Bedollo for a hiking class about biodiversity. A local guide explained how foreign species are decimating the local environment, and how the VAIA association is helping in the reforestation efforts.
"It was great to learn about what happened and to see all the baby trees that will hopefully grow back one day - said Beeton - We have learned a lot about the environment and biodiversity. And I'm glad to have shared this experience with the team."
The team, with drivers Beeton and Rashid Al Dhaheri, visited Centro Maria Letizia Verga in Monza, which specialises in oncology care for kids aged from zero to 18. The team visited patients and handed out gifts (autographed caps and cards). Drivers then stayed for photos and to play football with the kids.
“It was very nice to visit Centro Maria Letizia Verga - said Al Dhaheri - We were able to meet some of the kids and the people working there. They had great energy and they were super happy to see us. A lot of them like racing and were able to show their passion. We played with them with some competitions, and played some football as well. It was great to see the smiles on their faces. It feels amazing to bring some joy and we are always very happy to contribute whenever we can. I hope all of them will get well soon and that we will meet them on track one day.”
