The countdown for Prema Racing’s debut in the GP2 Series has started. The Italian squad will be on-track for the first time starting from Wednesday, November 2nd to Friday, November 4th as the developmental championship will line-up for a three-day postseason test at the Yas Marina venue in Abu Dhabi, the same venue that hosted the 2015 season finale last weekend.
Prema will field two Dallara racecars to evaluate five drivers: the list will include Pierre Gasly, from the Red Bull Junior Team, Felix Rosenqvist, who cruised to win 2015 FIA F.3 European Championship with Prema, 2015 World Series by Renault Champion Oliver Rowland, Sergey Sirotkin, who secured third place in the GP2 Series driver championship, and fresh DTM Champion and Mercedes Junior driver Pascal Wehrlein.

“The preparations have been lengthy and challenging but we are ready to fire up the engines and make our GP2 Series debut. Needless to say, we are excited and we will be facing a tough job, but we are used to take on new challenge as we did many times in Prema history.
