R02 - Misano - Italian F4 Race Preview

PREMA aims for positive team results at the Adriatic track

R02 - Misano - Italian F4 Race Preview

The Italia Formula 4 Championship is heading for one of its classic destination, lining-up on the Adriatic coast at Misano Adriatico. Located close to the Country's most visited vacation resorts, Misano is a flat and smooth 4.2-kilometer venue with flowing corners.

For round two of the Italian series, Rafael Câmara will be headlining the PREMA Racing effort, having taken one win and one second place in the Imola opener. The Brazilian is currently second in points. Fellow Ferrari Driver Academy competitor James Wharton is not far from him, with one podium to his credit and the goal of keeping up the pace of his learning process.

Charlie Wurz will be there for a rebound. The Austrian, who is also a rookie, could not make it to the top-5 in Imola and is looking to get back in contention for podiums.

However, Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Conrad Laursen will be the most hungry for revenge. The Italian comes from a dominant triple win in the ADAC F4 at Hockenheim but struggled due to bad luck and attrition in the Italian Championship at Imola. He hopes to put his full potential to fruition on a circuit not far away from home.

On the other hand, Laursen is still looking for his first points finish of the Italian season, and, on a track that hasn't been kind to him in the past, he has a perfect occasion to rebound and unlock his full potential.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"The Italian Formula 4 Championship is at the very core of our organisation and we are determined to perform well with all our drivers at Misano. We showed what we can do in the second round of German F4 at Hockenheim, and we aim to ride that momentum into the Italian Championship as well. For sure, we know the track well although the Gen-2 Formula 4 cars are a brand-new variable for everyone. We will be greeted by fine weather and we line-up to have a smooth-sailing weekend that can show where we stand in terms of the potential."
