PREMA Racing looks for more success in German Series

R03 - Zandvoort - ADAC F4 Race Preview

The PREMA Racing Formula 4 team will go back into action this weekend for the mid-step of its June tripleheader. Coming from the third round of the Italian Formula 4 Championship at Spa-Francorchamps, the drivers will line up for round 3 of the German series at Zandvoort before heading back to Italy to wrap up a busy month. The challenging 4.2-kilometer circuit outside Amsterdam, featuring an up-and-down layout with flowing fast corners, will be new for most of the drivers, providing a thorough challenge for them to overcome.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli is leading the ADAC-sanctioned championship after winning all races but one between Spa and Hockenheim. The 15-year-old Italian is looking to continue his roll of honor which also includes a triple win last weekend in the Italian championship at Spa. Chasing him, Ferrari Driver Academy’s Rafael Camara sits not much back in terms of points, but the Brazilian is hoping to challenge for victory again.

Charlie Wurz, Conrad Laursen, and James Wharton also have earned podiums this season. The Austrian went close to winning at Hockenheim, while the Dane is the only driver of the bunch with prior experience at the venue. Having not been particularly lucky so far this season, Wharton is looking to show his potential again and turn it into solid results.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"Our 2022 Formula 4 season continues to provide us with satisfactions and we obviously want to carry the same form into Zandvoort. It's a very challenging track but one that is really important to master for the driver's learning process, because of its unique characteristics, starting from the fast, even banked corners. We have had an amazing battle featuring Antonelli and Camara at the top of the driver standings, and their teammates are coming up fast as well. You can never afford to make mistakes, so this will be an additional test for all of them and we are looking forward to seeing how the weekend will shape up."
