R05 - Red Bull Ring - FIA Formula 3 Race Preview

PREMA Racing in the hunt for more success at Red Bull Ring

R05 - Red Bull Ring - FIA Formula 3 Race Preview

Coming from a successful run at Silverstone, with Arthur Leclerc claiming the first win of the season for the team, PREMA Racing is back for another race weekend in the busy month of July at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

With the team leading the championship, and the 21-year-old Ferrari Driver Academy Monegasque now second in the driver ranking, there will be high expectation for the weekend at the Austrian venue. Being a well-known and classic destination for racing, Red Bull Ring has little secrets for teams and drivers but for the same reason, the up-and-down Styrian venue can be quite challenging with incredibly tight action and performance.

Coming from a double points finish in the UK, 17-year-old American Jak Crawford is looking to get back in the hunt at the front end of the pack, on a place where he secured multiple victories earlier in his career. The Red Bull Junior is now hoping to repeat that history on F3 race day.

Ollie Bearman also had notable F4 success at the venue. The FDA-supported rookie has been highly impressive this season, having returned to the podium in Silverstone after his earlier Bahrain breakthrough. As the series is approaching its half point with round 5, he is aiming to make his progress stick heading in the final part of the year.

Rene Rosin - Team Principal

"We are coming from an extremely positive run at Silverstone, where we found great momentum and general chemistry, putting everything together after showing potential earlier in the year. Coming to Red Bull Ring, we will need to keep the pressure because everyone is really close there and mistakes come at a very high price. We showed speed all across the board in the previous event from Bearman, who is a rookie, to the more experienced Leclerc and Crawford, so we are confident we have three great arrows to aim for more success."
