Promising American talent in for selected races this year

Ugochukwu joins PREMA for Nurburgring ADAC F4 debut

PREMA Racing is delighted to announce that American driver Ugo Ugochukwu will debut with the team in the fourth round of the German Formula 4 Championship this weekend at Nürburgring.

The 15-year-old from New York will be making his first start in the ADAC-sanctioned championship, although he has competed in the British series where he is standing third with two wins to his credit.

Ugochukwu also enjoyed a successful karting career on both sides of the Atlantic, his most recent top-class result being FIA OKJ European Champion in 2020 and second in the 2021 WSK Euro Series. His roll of honour also includes titles in the 2015 Florida Winter Tour and in the 2018 Challenge of the Americas. His promise and results led to him joining the McLaren Racing Young Driver Programme.

His programme with PREMA will include selected races before the end of the season.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"It is great to welcome Ugo to the PREMA Family as he showed sensational potential so far. I am sure he will be making huge steps very quickly and will become a serious contender for some high-quality results straight away. We are really looking forward to having him as it’s always incredibly exciting to work with young, talented prospects as they get ready to become professionals."
