PREMA Racing welcomes new addition at Nurburgring

R04 - Nurburgring - ADAC F4 Race Preview

PREMA Racing will line up for the fourth round of the ADAC Formel 4 Championship at Nurburgring this weekend and will do so with an outstanding new addition to its part-time German program.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli will be on track as the championship leader having won all but two races held so far. The Italian will aim to increase his championship lead at the famed German track.

Unfortunately, he will be left without his main contender so far. Rafael Camara won’t be competing in the next race of the ADAC F4 series this week since he tested positive for Covid.

On the other hand, the team will welcome a brand new addition to its line-up with the debut of 15-year-old American Ugo Ugochukwu. A brilliant kart racer, McLaren Racing Junior Ugochukwu experienced good success in British F4 this season. He will drive the #16 car.

The team will feature full-time drivers Conrad Laursen, Charlie Wurz, and James Wharton. The Dane is holding third place in points after securing his maiden win at Zandvoort, while coming from multiple podium finishes this season, Charlie Wurz will aim for victory to solidify the growth experienced so far. Ferrari Driver Academy's James Wharton will look forward to overcoming some challenging races to use his full potential.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"Our season has been remarkably successful so far and we have been a dominant force in F4 this year. Our drivers have been competitive across the board, and we have had three of them breaking through to victory in the ADAC championship. Unfortunately we won’t have Rafael with us, but we will welcome a new addition to the team, Ugo, who is really promising. We cannot wait to see how our team will perform at Nürburgring, and all our drivers will hopefully have their shot at the win."
