PREMA Racing lines up for ADAC F4 Nürburgring finale
The 2022 season has reached its final stages for PREMA Racing as the Italian operation is preparing for the final rounds of the German and Italian Formula 4 championships. The ADAC-promoted series will go back underway this weekend at Nürburgring for its 2022 finale, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli leading the driver championship despite the team electing to skip the penultimate round at Lausitzring.
The 16-year-old Italian will be fighting for the German title after securing seven wins, and ten podium finishes in total so far. Standing in third place overall, Brazilian Rafael Camara, who missed two rounds, is aiming to prepare for his Italian F4 assault, but is also in contention for the German rookie title, having won the class in every race he entered in 2022.
PREMA will field two more cars for James Wharton and Ugo Ugochukwu. The Australian secured his maiden European Formula 4 win in round 4, which was also held at Nürburgring, and intends to finish the season on a high.
Ugochukwu will line up for his second appearance in the series. The American has put up a strong progression leading to a triple podium finish the last time he was with the team for the Italian series at Red Bull Ring.
