PREMA Racing achieved a double podium finish in Race 2 of the FIA Formula 3 weekend at Monte Carlo. Starting from P2 and P3 respectively, Swede Dino Beganovic and Estonian Paul Aron stayed clear of trouble for the whole duration of the race which saw considerable attrition but only one safety car situation.
Beganovic secured his second podium of the season, ending up just 0.4s away from the winner. The same goes for Aron, who now trails his teammate in driver points.
Zak O'Sullivan was one of the biggest mover of the field. The British racer did a stellar job in recovering from P14 on the grid, and fought back to P7 with a great start and a calculated run to take home valuable points.
#1 - Paul Aron
"I'm very happy for having my first feature race podium in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. I think we made great steps forward from yesterday, we improved a lot and can be proud of that. There's still work to do, at least in the races, but I'm happy with where we are going with the team, and I want to thank them for the hard work. Generally, it has been a good weekend, with solid points, and we can go to Barcelona feeling more confident."
#2 - Dino Beganovic
"P2 is a positive result. It was a good race, and the pace was great. I really wanted more, but we did what we could today. I put as much pressure as I could on Minì all the way to the last lap, and we were always really close. Really good points, I'm very happy to be back in Europe, and it's good to come back from Melbourne."
#3 - Zak O'Sullivan
"Feature race is done, and it's good to finish P7. Recovering six positions on a circuit like Monaco is quite tricky, but the pace was good. I managed to pick up some positions early in lap 1, and a couple more with the benefit of some incidents. Good points, but I need to start a bit higher next time."
