R04 Monza - Italian Formula 4 Race Preview

PREMA Racing back to legendary Monza track

R04 Monza - Italian Formula 4 Race Preview

The Italian Formula 4 Championship will go back underway at Monza, home to the fourth round of the year and midpoint of the season. The Italian high-speed circuit is a traditional one for Formula 4 and often hosts testing and race weekends. However, its layout, featuring long straights and chicanes, sometimes makes for surprises as the field is close, and small mistakes can have consequences. On the other hand, recovering is possible with high braking zones. PREMA Racing lines up for round 4 with two drivers at the top of the driver standings. Red Bull Junior Arvid Lindblad has three wins to his name but comes from a tough weekend at Spa. On the other hand, Ugo Ugochukwu is on the rise. The McLaren Driver Development Programme American has won twice and is trailing his British teammate. Laying in fourth, Ferrari Driver Academy racer, James Wharton, made huge gains in Belgium. The 16-year-old Australian is looking forward to using his experience to his advantage. Italian Nicola Lacorte, and Finn Tuukka Taponen also secured wins at the beginning of the year, and showed the potential to achieve more, especially on Italian soil. Emirati Rashid al Dhaheri is also looking forward to a track where he had some test experience after making his first career start in single-seaters only in Imola. Last but not least, the team will welcome back Brazilian FDA member Aurelia Nobels, who returns after suffering a wrist injury at Imola eager to continue her Italian season.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"Monza is always a key stop for the championship and this year will be no exception. With its added variables it also provides a good opportunity for teams to try and fight back so we are expecting great pressure after performing so well in the first three rounds. So we expect a challenging weekend with a lot to be managed, but we feel prepared for that and we are looking forward to the event."
