The FIA Formula 3 Championship will be wrapping up its busy summer stint at one of the world’s most legendary destinations this weekend, as PREMA Racing and its trio of drivers will compete at Spa-Francorchamps in the penultimate round of 2023.
Coming from a brilliant weekend in Hungary, British racer Zak O’Sullivan moved up to P2 in the driver championship, and while there is a sizeable gap to recover, he has shown the potential to do so by being the driver with the most wins this year.
Laying not far behind him, teammates Paul Aron and Dino Beganovic are tied for P4 in the Driver Championship and are still in the fight for the title. Both the Estonian and the Swede achieved several podium finishes this season to support their potential.
While the team’s drivers have a good amount of experience at Spa-Francorchamps, the 7-kilometer circuit is notably challenging for everyone, and weather often comes in the way to provide more obstacles to overcome. Provided that the track stays dry, cars will be fitted with the Pirelli medium-compound tyres that were selected for the event.
René Rosin - Team Principal
"This is the time of the year where decision time approaches, and we will need to be incredibly focused to achieve the goals we have set for the year. We have many wins to prove our potential, but we need to execute right from the start. Practice, qualifying and everything that will come after that. Spa is always tricky, but we have been there many times in the past and I'm sure we have everything we need to put up a good showing."
