PREMA-supported squad set for first action on track at Guia Circuit
The 70th Macau Grand Prix is about to start, and as action will soon begin at the Guia Circuit, SJM Theodore PREMA Racing is looking forward to the return of the world-famous FIA Formula 3 World Cup as the headlining event.
The 6.1-kilometer course is one of the world's most challenging circuits, featuring high-speed sections and tight, twisty corners with no margin for error. Every bump on its surface may have an impact on the car's handling, and confidence will play a major role for every driver in their effort to tame the series' high-performance, 380-horsepower machinery.
SJM Theodore PREMA Racing will rely on a powerful lineup featuring three experienced Formula 3 racers to continue the sensational winning tradition of Theodore Racing, now chasing its 11th Grand Prix success.
Dino Beganovic will compete in the #8 car. The Swede, who was the 2022 European Formula Regional Champion, has secured multiple podium finishes this year in FIA F3. A high-potential driver in all the series he entered so far, he is looking to finally break through his first F3 win in the series' most outstanding event.
Gabriele Mini will be joining the team on the #9 car. The 18-year-old Italian claimed a stunning FIA Formula 3 win in this year's Monaco Grand Prix and will reunite with the team after winning the 2020 Italian F4 title with PREMA.
Also coming from his first full season in FIA Formula 3, 19-year-old Estonian driver Paul Aron will compete with the #10 car. Having captured his first series win this year, Aron hopes to repeat or possibly improve the results of older sibling Ralf Aron, who was a podium finisher in his Macau Debut.
Before heading to the track for Practice and Qualifying, the team's three drivers had the chance to experience the passion and excitement generated by the amazing Macau event, sharing insights with students and fans, showing their skills on the simulators of SJM's Grand Lisboa Palace, and making a memorable visit to the Grand Prix Museum.
Action will start with Free Practice 1 and Qualifying 1 tomorrow, with the main goal of gaining the experience needed ahead of Free Practice 2 and Qualifying 2 on Friday.
