FIA Formula 3, PREMA Racing set for 2024 Monaco Grand Prix
The FIA Formula 3 Championship is set for one of the world's most coveted events this weekend at the Monte Carlo Grand Prix, with teams and drivers back running at the tight, twisty, and unforgiving 3.3-kilometer Monaco street course only a few days after the previous event at Imola.
PREMA Racing has a long history at the Monte Carlo Formula 3 Grand Prix, having achieved its first win there back in 1989, and wants to add more success to the tradition, lining up with the lead of the Team Championship and three competitive racers.
The experienced Dino Beganovic and Gabriele Minì are currently tied for third in driver points. The Swede won in FRECA at Monte Carlo in 2022 and secured his first F3 podium there last year, while the Italian achieved his first F3 win there in 2023. Joining them for his first outing in Monaco, Arvid Lindblad will continue his rookie campaign, which already saw him punch the winning ticket in Round 1.
In a place where no mistakes are allowed, more than anywhere else, high grip is required, while not much tyre degradation is expected. Championship supplier Pirelli will provide teams with the red-walled supersoft tyres.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"Coming to this place is always a special experience. It has a unique vibe and you can feel how important it has been for the history of our sport. We are aiming to continue and improve our positive season at Monte Carlo and our drivers proved they can be competitive everywhere. For Beganovic and Minì, this will be a return to a place where they experienced notable success, while Arvid will make his Monaco GP debut, although he has successful street course experience and has what it takes to be competitive."
