PREMA heads to Silverstone for pivotal FIA F3 event
The legendary British track of Silverstone will welcome PREMA Racing this weekend as the FIA Formula 3 Championship will be entering its seventh round of the year. The British Grand Prix venue is one of the most iconic and challenging in the series, with high-speed corners and a complete layout emphasizing the driving.
Gabriele Minì will headline the team's Silverstone effort, standing second in points. Dino Beganovic runs not far away from him in fourth place, and like his Italian teammate, the Swede captured a podium finish in Austria showing consistent speed. Arvid Lindblad stands three points further back in P6 and is currently the best-placed rookie in the series having won twice including the Feature Race in Barcelona.
In addition to the cornering speed, Silverstone is considered a very abrasive track for tyres. Series supplier Pirelli will bring the P-Zero White Hardy tyres, but management will still be important comes Race Day.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"It's a key moment of the season as we are about to enter its final part and a lot will be decided in the upcoming weekends. We showed speed and consistency at Red Bull Ring, fighting at the front with all drivers, and we certainly hope to do the same at Silverstone. As always, Qualifying will be extremely important to shape up the rest of the weekend and we will need to maximize our effort there before focusing on a solid run in the races."
