R08 Hungaroring - FIA Formula 3 Race Preview

PREMA prepares for classic three-race closing stint of 2024

R08 Hungaroring - FIA Formula 3 Race Preview

Coming from an incredibly successful weekend at Silverstone, where despite a tough qualifying session, the team achieved two wins with Arvid Lindblad and fought back to the driver championship lead with Gabriele Minì, PREMA Racing will come back to the FIA Formula 3 Championship at Hungaroring to set the tone for the final three rounds of the season, all on some of the most classic race venues in motorsports.

The twisty Hungaroring track will welcome teams and drivers with a highly technical layout made of ups and downs and mid-to-slow corners. The 4.4-kilometer circuit has been home to F3 for a long time, dating before the current era of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. With qualifying being particularly key due to the lack of passing opportunity, the weather is also expected to be challenging with temperatures in excess of 30 degrees with high humidity.

With Minì on top and Lindblad in close pursuit, Dino Beganovic is also determined to make a charge, boosted by the podium finish he achieved last year and by the winning potential shown so far. For Hungaroring, cars will be fitted with the Hard-compound Pirelli tyres, chosen by the series' supplier for more durability.

RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal

"We had a memorable run at Silverstone, in an unpredictable weekend that made execution and strategy even more important than usual. A bit of luck was involved as well, but it was great to see that we put ourselves in the position to make the most of the situation. However, Hungaroring will be different. The track is tight and twisty, and the weather is expected to be consistent. Pushing in qualifying and minimizing the mistakes will be the way to go, and once again, with three drivers with such high potential, we can't wait to get the weekend started."
