PREMA aims to keep successful momentum at Monza
PREMA Racing is set for the final round of the 2024 Euro 4 Championship this weekend as the three-event series comes to its conclusion at Monza. The fast Autodromo Nazionale will welcome teams and drivers for a double commitment as it will also be home to the Italian Formula 4 finale later this month.
Only days after securing the Italian crown early in the penultimate round of 2024, Freddie Slater will have the chance for a double, having an 11-point lead among drivers. He also already raced at Monza last year, where he put up an incredible debut showing.
Teammates Tomass Stolcermanis and Kean Nakamura-Berta are sitting fifth and sixth respectively with overall podiums already achieved this year. However, the Latvian and the Japanese-Slovakian are also locked in a battle for the Rookies' title with the latter ahead by one point.
Alex Powell and Dion Gowda faced a challenging experience in the opening two rounds but showed good pace in the last Italian F4 round at Barcelona. They are in for a rebound. The Jamaican-American will compete for the first time at the Temple of Speed, Monza, not far from his Italian home.
Unfortunately, Rashid Al Dhaheri won't be part of the lineup as the Emirati is recovering from an ailment and will have to miss the event.
Action is expected to be tight and plentiful at Monza. Coming from a highly successful weekend on Spanish soil, PREMA is looking to keep and even improve its great momentum.
ANGELO ROSIN - Team Manager
"Coming from such an incredibly successful weekend in Barcelona, we know it's extremely easy to be carried away. For this reason, we want to be extremely focused. We are battling for the Euro 4 titles and the competition has been particularly tight in this series. We want to finish it on a high and lay the foundations for the last round of our F4 season, which will also be at Monza. We wish Rashid a prompt recovery and to welcome him back for the Italian F4 finale."
