F1 Academy, PREMA move to Jeddah for Round 2

R02 Jeddah - F1 Academy Race Preview

F1 Academy will be back this weekend at Jeddah Corniche Circuit, returning to the Saudi Arabian track after the opening round of 2024.

A really fast venue especially for junior single-seater competition, Jeddah will welcome PREMA's Doriane Pin as the championship leader. The French racer captured victory in Race 2 in Shanghai with an early move, and with another points finish, she was able to edge out the competition in points. She will be back to where she took her first F1 Academy win last year.

Nina Gademan will line up eager to bounce back after facing tough luck recently. Starting from pole in Race 1 in Shanghai, the Dutch racer suffered a mechanical issue while leading. In addition, she was involved in a fiery crash as the series was on track in Jeddah for a recent collective test, having to miss part of the action but exiting the scene without injury.

Having faced some challenges in round 1 after a solid qualifying performance, Swiss driver Tina Hausmann is looking for a comeback too on the track that gave her the first points finish in F1 Academy.

RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal

"It's good to be back with F1 Academy in Jeddah. It is a unique venue, where we have proved competitive in the past, and coming from a positive 2025 start, we want to keep that momentum. We look to stay at the front consistently with all three drivers and be competitive across the board. We think our team and drivers have the potential to do so."
