Having reached the halfway point of the 2025 season with a solid performance at Spielberg, PREMA Racing is set for a welcomed return to Silverstone. Last year, the team achieved remarkable success at the British countryside venue, and with the great pace of the most recent rounds, the goal is to stay in the leading pack.
Coming from a hard-fought top-5 finish in Austria, where he stormed back from the back of the field, Sebastian Montoya is on a rising trajectory and is expected to continue keeping the momentum, making more progress in his maiden FIA Formula 2 season.
Fellow rookie Gabriele Minì, on the other hand, bounced back from a challenging couple of races with a strong Spielberg qualifying only to be stopped by an engine failure early in the Feature Race. The good potential of the previous rounds and the positive results he achieved at Silverstone in the past are expected to make for a promising start.
With a layout of almost 6 kilometers, Silverstone has many different characteristics in one circuit and is a remarkably technical venue. Tyre wear and conservation are also critical and in consideration of that, Pirelli decided to bring the P-Zero White hard tyres as the Prime choice, with the Red softs as a tricky option to manage. Weather concerns are normally a factor in central UK and this year will be no exception with chances of rain and high variability. Taking all elements into account and performing as quickly as possible will be paramount.
RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal
"We didn't have the best luck in Spielberg, especially with Gabriele, but we showed front-running potential very clearly. Montoya put up a stellar run in the Feature Race and Gabriele could have been there too so we are going back on track at Silverstone to continue with the same pace and hopefully reap up a bit more rewards while managing the tricky variables of this event."
