Formula Regional returns to action this week at Circuit Paul Ricard to continue its 2025 stretch on Europe's most historical and challenging circuits.
With Freddie Slater fighting for the series lead and PREMA holding the point in the teams' standings, Round 5 is set to mark the halfway point of the season, with two coming rounds leading into the August break. While the British racer has claimed three wins, the points standings are really close, and teammate Rashid Al Dhaheri, who got his second podium last time around at Hungaroring, is far from out of contention and has been on a move, especially in terms of qualifying pace.
Having had a tough weekend in Hungary following a consistent run of points finishes, Jack Beeton is looking for a rebound. The Australian is close to the top 10 overall and has shown good potential earlier in the season. On the other hand, Doriane Pin is back from a double top-20 at Hungaroring and has set her sights on more advancements.
With a tough racetrack to master, made of flat fast corners and limited references, drivers will also have to face demanding weather, with temperatures in excess of 30°C expected.
Rene Rosin - Team Principal
"The championship is getting more and more competitive, and we will need to do our very best job at Paul Ricard to keep the pace and try to get to the top and stay there. We have proved our potential, but we need to work to make it show on Race Day and execute the weekend. The coming couple of rounds are key to establishing how we will head into the summer break and setting the tone for the rest of the season."
