PREMA has troubled race 1 run at Silverstone

R07 Silverstone - FIA Formula 2 Race 1 Report

PREMA Racing faced an extremely challenging day at Silverstone, as the first race of the FIA Formula 2 Championship weekend at the British venue was completed today in wet weather conditions.

Starting behind the safety-car from P1 and P13 respectively, Jehan Daruvala and Dennis Hauger had to deal with a general lack of pace. The Indian provided a robust effort but eventually started losing positions and ended up in P8. The Norwegian had to deal with similar issues and finished in P15.

The team is now working ahead of tomorrow's feature race.

#1 - Dennis Hauger
“I had a decent start but I just struggled early on with the rears and with the general grip. Obviously not optimal, as we were seconds behind the lap times of the leaders. It's definitely something to look at for tomorrow, hopefully, it will be fully dry or wet. We have to figure out what has been going on and push again tomorrow.“

#2 - Jehan Daruvala
“Overall, a tough race, starting from pole and finishing in P8. I tried my best but we weren’t the greatest in terms of pace. We struggled pretty much all-race long. It felt really really long and it was very difficult. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully starting from P10 we can move forward and have some good results.”
