PREMA Racing sets sights on Austrian rebound

R08 Red Bull Ring - FIA Formula 2 Race Preview

With a challenging trip to Silverstone now in the books, PREMA Racing is already set to jump back into action as the FIA Formula 2 Championship continues its busy summer stint at Red Bull Ring in Austria. The team is looking for a rebound on the modern Styrian venue, one of the most classic destinations for the series making its return after a one-year hiatus. Matching stop-and-go parts with fast corners, Red Bull Ring is relatively short which, together with the high amount of data available from the past, usually makes the field of teams and drivers even closer.

Exiting Silverstone with only a handful of points to his name, 23-year-old Indian Jehan Daruvala is looking to get back to podium contention, as he still stands fourth in the driver championship. For 19-year-old Norwegian racer Dennis Hauger, who was coming from two wins in the earlier event the UK has brought little luck, which included a high-speed airborne crash in race 2. The Red Bull Junior rookie has won at Red Bull Ring in both Formula 4 and Formula 3 and is eager to add more Austrian trophies to his cabinet.

With the championship now into its half point and two more events coming before the end of the month, having a positive run on Austrian soil might be key in establishing some momentum before the summer break.

Rene Rosin - Team Principal

"After the difficult weekend we had in Silverstone we hope to regroup at Red Bull Ring, a track we know well from all our junior single-seater experience. I think we have the focus needed to rebound and get back to the form we had before. Both Dennis and Jehan showed winning potential, and we are sure we haven't lost it. We will stick to the basics and regroup, so we can be competitive with both cars once again and get towards the front as early as possible."
