PREMA Racing back to Abu Dhabi for 2022 Formula 2 finale

R14 - Abu Dhabi - FIA Formula 2 Race Preview

PREMA Racing will be competing in the final round of the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship this weekend at Abu Dhabi Circuit. The state-of-the-art Emirates venue brings the series to a familiar location for its conclusion, and PREMA will be back to what has been a friendly destination in the past to finish the year positively.

The team is coming from a solid performance at Monza, where Indian Jehan Daruvala claimed a third place and a win, moving back to a tie for P4 in the championship standings. He now hopes to keep the same momentum on the track that gave him a win in the 2022 season and multiple victories in the 2021 F3 Asian championship.

Dennis Hauger had a tougher run on the Italian Grand Prix weekend, but the Norwegian already secured two wins this year. He will carry that winning potential to Yas Marina, despite running for the first time at the 5.281-km course.

Setting its sights on good results starting from the ever-important qualifying session, the Red Bull Junior drivers and the whole team are looking to move forward and improve their championship positions.

Rene Rosin - Team Principal

"We are back to Abu Dhabi, a place we know extremely well and where we had a lot to celebrate in the past. We definitely feel we have a special relationship with it, but we also know how competitive and balanced the field usually is there. Qualifying is set to be key if we want to exit the weekend with some satisfaction. Having secured wins and podium finishes on very different tracks, we look forward to putting everything together this weekend and giving 2022 a positive conclusion."
