R10 Spa-Francorchamps - FIA Formula 2 Race Preview
PREMA Racing is going back to an iconic destination this weekend as the FIA Formula 2 Championship is set for the tenth round of the year at Spa-Francorchamps.
Coming to the fast 7.0-kilometer circuit, the team is lining up with a convincing Hungaroring performance in the books, and the lead in the Driver and Team Championships.
Frederik Vesti is holding the point in the drivers' standings. The 22-year-old Danish racer is leading ahead of the Spa event but has a host of highly-competitive challengers going after him. He and the whole team will need to execute the weekend to perfection to stay and possibly increase the lead.
Ollie Bearman will continue his rookie year at the venue that gave him his breakthrough FIA Formula 3 win last year to move forward in the championship and battle for more top-flight results.
As always, the rain will be a threat and an additional aspect to manage at Spa-Francorchamps. In addition to the ubiquitous wet tyres, series supplier Pirelli will provide the teams with the P Zero Yellow medium and P Zero Red soft compounds.

"We are heading into the summer break after a month with a lot of races in a short time, and we have to make sure that we keep the focus and end this stint on a high. We showed that we can win races, and also that we can bounce back when things don't go our way for one reason or another. So obviously we are confident but still very attentive to every detail, especially on a track where there are many variables that can derail even the best-sorted plans."
