R11 Zandvoort - FIA Formula 2 Race Preview

PREMA Racing back from summer break at Zandvoort

R11 Zandvoort - FIA Formula 2 Race Preview

PREMA Racing is ready to go back underway as the FIA Formula 2 Championship returns from its summer break at Zandvoort. The unique Dutch track, featuring challenging high-camber sections and fast corners, lies on the outskirts of Amsterdam, on the North Sea shore, and made its way to the international racing scene by hosting the always-successful  Grand Prix of the Netherlands.

The team had positive experiences there in its previous endeavors between F2 and F3, and is looking to rebound after a troubled run last time around at Spa-Francorchamps. Frederik Vesti is determined to go back to his previous form, which included four wins, while Ollie Bearman will continue his spectacular rookie season that handed him three poles and three wins so far.

With a good reset done throughout the August break, the team and drivers will need to be at the top of their game right from practice and qualifying, as Zandvoort notably doesn't offer many chances for overtaking. Execution will be again crucial.

Tyre choice for the event will be on the soft side. Pirelli has selected the P Zero Yellow medium and P Zero Red soft compounds, with wets always on the sidelines in case of variable weather.

René Rosin - Team Principal

"We feel fully recharged and ready to go back to fighting. The summer break came at the right moment, and we are really motivated to bounce back from Spa-Francorchamps and build our momentum for the final part of the year. Qualifying pace and execution will be the key at Zandvoort, and we prepared with extra attention to those aspects."
